Is the number 0.99999999... equal to "1"....

There is much turmoil about this problem nowadays...

What do you think?

Could you present a demonstration in either way?

A rocket of 30,700 kg. travels in deep space... suddenly it starts its angines burning 3 kg of fuel and oxidant, and expelling the gases at 80,000 km per hour relative to the rocket, during half an hour.

What is the change of speed of the rocket?

(Take into account the change in mass). Wink
